1980's Pete Rose & Bart Giamatti Signed "Apology" Baseball. It may have been a different story for Charlie Hustle if his admission and apology hadn't been decades in the making. But while he's notated thousands of "I'm sorry I bet on baseball" baseballs since he realized it was more lucrative than denials, this is the first we've ever seen on a ball bearing the original and National League facsimile stamping of the autograph of the man who banished him. Giamatti's passing shortly after his Rose ruling has made such pieces incredibly rare--in fact, this may be unique. Imagine if you had a ball signed by Landis and Shoeless Joe! Both signatures remain impressively bold and the ONL (Giamatti) ball is clean, with well executed signature removals. Pre-certified by PSA/DNA. Auction LOA from James Spence Authentication.
