1979 Waite Hoyt Single Signed Baseball. One of the most interesting and unusual stars of the 1920's New York Yankees, Hoyt worked as a mortician during the off-season and performed on the vaudeville circuit at night with the likes of Jack Benny, Jimmy Durante and George Burns. His day job earned him Cooperstown immortality, however, as he notched two twenty-win seasons, leading the American League in victories during the glorious 1927 Championship campaign. He was eighty when he signed this 1979 Official World Series Baseball for a fan, his side panel blue ink offering maintaining a boldness of 9/10 to this day. The ball is mildly toned, but to no considerably distraction. A tough single, essential in any solid Yankees collection. Full LOA from James Spence Authentication.

The hammer price for my Mantle card significantly exceeded my admittedly conservative estimations, and I couldn't be more pleased.
