    1978 Satchel Paige Double Signed Baseball. If there is any Hall of Fame player we might expect to produce such a wonderfully odd collectible it's Ol' Satch, who is remembered today almost as much for his larger than life personality as he is for the skills that had hitters like Williams and DiMaggio calling him the greatest pitcher ever. This OAL (MacPhail) ball features a 10/10 blue ink sweet spot signature, with the panel just below holding an inscription (9/10) reading "Best Wishes From Satchel Paige to Jackson Conner." An unknown hand has dated the ball "1978" near the ball's stamping, well clear from view when autographs are displayed. You can be sure you won't find another ball such as this on the auction block any time soon. LOA from PSA/DNA. LOA from James Spence Authentication.
