1977 American League All Star Game Team Signed Baseball. The 1977 Mid summer's classic was baseball's 48th All Star game, and was played on the hallowed grounds in "The House that Ruth built". One of the most interesting stories around this meeting was the pregame spat between Billy Martin and Nolan Ryan. When Frank Tanana was unable to play because of injuries, Martin asked Ryan to fill in. Ryan, irked at not being selected in the first place, refused. Martin fumed and announced he would never select Ryan for any future games. This OAL(MacPhail) ball has 27 signatures including Billy Martin, Reggie Jackson, Jim Rice, Dennis Eckersley, Jim Palmer, George Brett, Carlton Fisk, Rod Carew, Craig Nettles, Mark Fidrych, Rick Burleson, Sparky Lyle, Bob Lemon(coach), Bert Campaneris, Jason Thompson, George Scott, Fred Lynn, Rupert Jones, Larry Hisle, Ken Singleton, etc. A great addition to any Yankee, or All Star game collection. JSA Auction LOA.
