Description

1973 Nestor Chylak Single Signed Baseball. Badly wounded in the bloody Battle of the Bulge in World War II, Chylak returned to the States to labor a quarter century on the American League diamond, officiating six All-Star Games, five World Series, and the "Ten Cent Beer Night" fiasco in Cleveland in 1974. Presented is a rare single from the popular Man in Black dating to "1st Play Off Game 1973," according to a notation in an unknown hand. Chylak's side panel autograph on the OAL (Cronin) sphere rates 9/10 and ball does appear to exhibit game use. Full LOA from James Spence Authentication. Pre-certified by PSA/DNA.

I received the catalog and was very impressed with its color illustrations, descriptions and attractive layout. (It has better production values than the New York houses.)
