Description

1971 Pittsburgh Pirates Team Signed Baseball. Roberto Clemente came through in the clutch at the close of this season, opening a lead that the Pirates would never lose with a solo shot in the fourth inning of Game Seven of the World Series. Surrounding him on this baseball issued by Pittsburgh radio station "KDKA Radio 1020" are twenty-two of his grateful World Championship teammates, notably Stargell, Mazeroski, Ellis, Murtaugh, Sanguillen and Oliver. The ink survives in magnificent condition at an average boldness of 9/10. A special keepsake from Clemente's last World Championship season. Auction LOA from James Spence Authentication.
