1971-72 Hall of Fame Multi-Signed Baseball with Dave Bancroft and Chick Hafey. Three of the eight new inductees - Dave Bancroft, Chick Hafey, & Rube Marquard - into the Baseball Hall of Fame in Cooperstown, NY have signed this light-to-moderately toned Official National League (Feeney) sphere with the inclusion of "Beauty" Bancroft making it an HOF ball of extreme rarity. Bancroft was elected by the Veterans Committee in 1971 but was unable to attend the ceremonies due to his poor health. A little over a year afterwards Bancroft would pass away in his adopted home of Superior, Wisconsin making him one of the tougher signatures for Hall of Fame autograph collectors to acquire. Charles James "Chick" Hafey is also a difficult signature to find on HOF baseballs due to his premature death in July of 1973.

In addition to the three aforementioned names, Max Carey (traced), Dizzy Dean, Burleigh Grimes, Carl Hubbell, Joe Medwick, Stan Musial, Edd Roush, Bill Terry, Lloyd Waner have penned their signatures in various inks upon the baseball, which stamping dates it from 1970-73. Please be aware that the signature of Max Carey has been traced in an unknown hand. Auction LOA from SGC Authentic. Full LOA from PSA/DNA.

The hammer price for my Mantle card significantly exceeded my admittedly conservative estimations, and I couldn't be more pleased.
