Description

1970's Satchel Paige Single Signed Baseball. Although he did enjoy a few nice years later in life in the Major Leagues, it was Satchel Paige's Negro Leagues play that led him to become the first player inducted into the Hall of Fame for his Negro League experience. Nobody could tame his pitches, and nobody could tame his tongue. Paige would playfully taunt opposing teams, even instructing the rest of his team to take a seat while he singlehandedly got several batters out. Although he was the oldest rookie in MLB history, his personality still enthralled fans and led to record crowds when he pitched.

A single signed Paige baseball is a highlight of any HOF or Negro Leagues collection, and we offer here a very strong example. Located on a cream-colored Wilson Official International League baseball, Paige has signed his name on a side panel in 9/10 ball point pen. Pre-certified by PSA/DNA. Auction LOA from James Spence Authentication.
