    Description

1970's Hank Greenberg Single Signed Baseball. Before there was Jackie Robinson, it was Greenberg who endured the threats and taunts of bigotry at the ballpark, answering the anti-Semites in the same way that Robinson did the segregationists--with quiet strength and Hall of Fame ability. Here he signs the sweet spot of an OAL (MacPhail) ball with his preferred black felt tip ink, a medium which has survived the passing decades with impressive 9+/10 boldness. An all but unimprovable example of this coveted and important single. Full LOA from PSA/DNA. Auction LOA from James Spence Authentication.
