1970 New York Yankees Team Signed Baseball with Rookie Munson. The legendary Yankee backstop exhibited such brilliance in his first full season of work that only a single ballot kept Munson from a unanimous Rookie of the Year victory. The twenty-three year old future team captain appears on a side panel of this "Official Florida State League" ball, a clue that the ball likely derives from spring training before that first full season in the Bronx. Twenty-five fellow Bronx Bombers join Munson in 7/10 or better blue ballpoint, notably Murcer, White, Gibbs, Michael, Cater, Clarke. Signature quality averages a bold and consistent 8/10.
