Description

1964 Los Angeles Dodgers Team Signed Baseball. The Dodgers squad of 1964 finished just one game shy of a .500 record, a far cry from their previous glory years in Brooklyn. Led by pitching aces Sandy Koufax and Don Drysdale, the two combined for thirty-seven wins and 460 strikeouts, but the two were unable to carry their team. On the offensive side, the team had difficulty hitting its stride. Frank Howard led the team with twenty-four home runs but only a .226 average. No starter batted over .300 on the season.

The offered Spalding Dodgers brand baseball was still a prized collectible to whomever snagged these twenty-five signatures. Led by Koufax in 6/10 ink, legends Walt Alston and Leo Durocher shared the sweet spot in 7-8/10. Other notables include Maury Wills, Frank Howard and Johnny Podres. Most signatures are in the range of 5-7 and the ball has been shellacked for preservation. Pre-certified by PSA/DNA. Auction LOA from James Spence Authentication.
