1962 National League All-Star Team Signed Baseball, PSA/DNA NM+ 7.5. President John F. Kennedy threw out the first pitch for this first of two 1962 All-Star Games, waged at the Senators' D.C. Stadium. Presented is a stunning OAL (Cronin) sphere commemorating the victorious Senior Circuit, boasting twenty monumentally bold blue ink autographs from the likes of Clemente, Drysdale, Gibson, Banks, Spahn, Mazeroski, Ashburn, Koufax and manager of the newly-minted New York Mets, Casey Stengel. That's nine Hall of Famers! A thin clear coat is to thank for the remarkable condition. Autographs graded 8/10 by PSA/DNA, and baseball 5/10 for combined score as listed (point added for visual appeal). Full Grading COA from PSA/DNA, NM+ 7.5. Auction LOA from James Spence Authentication.

    The Ray Crump Collection

The memorabilia in this section originates from personal collection of Ray Crump, who got his start in baseball within the Washington Senators' clubhouse, serving as a batboy for the club beginning in 1948. When the Senators moved to Minnesota in 1961, he came North with them to become the Twins' first equipment manager, a position he held until retiring from the organization in 1984. This long tenure in the American League provided Mr. Crump with the ability to amass a vast collection of keepsakes, which are presented in the pages that follow.

The hammer price for my Mantle card significantly exceeded my admittedly conservative estimations, and I couldn't be more pleased.
