    Description

1961 Ty Cobb Single Signed Baseball PSA NM-MT 8. Fewer than four months after the fury of the Dead Ball era graciously inscribed this OAL (Cronin) baseball for a well-wisher, he would pass away at Atlanta's Emory University hospital with a paper bag holding a Luger pistol and one million dollars in negotiable bonds at his bedside. Now, almost a half century after one of the most fascinating lives in baseball history was drawing to its conclusion, we're pleased to present one of the finest Cobb singles in the hobby. The Peach's blue ink "To Barbara Burns From Ty Cobb, 3/22/61" is beyond peachy, rating an outstanding 9/10 according to the authenticators at PSA/DNA, which score the ball itself a 7/10 for the combined grade as listed. Full grading LOA from PSA/DNA. Auction LOA from James Spence Authentication.
