1961 New York Yankees Team Signed Baseball. New York baseball was on a national stage in 1961 as Roger Maris battled for the Babe Ruth's time-honored single-season home run record. In the end, Maris had just enough to best The Babe, and the Yankees rolled to a World Series title. Masterfully crafted on this OAL (Cronin) baseball are the signatures from twenty-eight members of that team - each in 9/10 blue ballpoint. While Mickey Mantle did not sign this orb, most all of his teammates did. Those who penned their identity include Coates, Turley, Kubek, Stafford, Sheldon, Berra, Daley, Maris, Blanchard, Downing, Tresh, Reed, Houk, Cerv, Clevenger, Arroyo, Lopez, Howard, Ford, Reniff, Torgeson, Hale, Boyer, Richardson, Gardner, DeMaestri, Skowron and more. Pre-certified by PSA/DNA. Auction LOA from James Spence Authentication.

The hammer price for my Mantle card significantly exceeded my admittedly conservative estimations, and I couldn't be more pleased.
