    Description

1960's Zack Wheat Signed Baseball. Once described as "165 pounds of scrap iron, rawhide, and guts," Wheat led the Brooklyn Dodgers all the way to the National League pennant twice (1916, 1920) while racking up more hits as a Dodger than any player in franchise history. His retirement in 1927 and death in 1972 have made the coveted Wheat single a rare commodity indeed, and we provide the next best thing here. Once a multi-signed ball, this "Mel Stottlemyre Special League" sphere was professionally restored to the look of a single, and Wheat's blue ink side panel offering is absolutely unimprovable. Auction LOA from James Spence Authentication. Pre-certified by PSA/DNA.
