1960 Pittsburgh Pirates Team Signed Baseball. Facing the fearsome New York Yankees in the 1960 World Series, the Pittsburgh Pirates would need to draw on every bit of star power they had to overcome the "Bronx Bombers" and win the championship four games to three. National League Cy Young winner Vern Law won Games One and Four, while Bill Mazeroski's double in Game Five aided in that victory. Game Seven found numerous Bucs, including Roberto Clemente and Hal Smith, slowly edging out the Yankees and ending with an unlikely victory over the statistically dominating Yanks. This ONL (Giles) ball features manager Danny Murtaugh, Vern Law, Bill Mazeroski, Dick Groat, Virgil Trucks, Dick Schofield, Smoky Burgess and Roy Face, as well as eighteen additional signatures. Clemente is absent on this ball. Autographs average 7/10 with some better and some slightly worse.
