    Description

1959 New York Yankees Team Signed Baseball. After their dominance of the decade of the 1950's, it was an unfortunate final year of 1959 when they finished barely above .500 and in third place. While Mickey Mantle still led the squad in home runs (31), RBI (75) and stolen bases (21), the team was used to seeing much bigger numbers out of all of its stars. Yogi Berra had less than twenty home runs and the others also had just "average" seasons.

Still, it was the New York Yankees, and their star power is obvious on this offered Spalding Yankees ball. Mantle and Berra share the sweet spot in 8-9/10 blue ink, although the Mantle has been deemed a clubhouse signature. Others include the newly acquired Enos Slaughter, Ed "Whitey" Ford, Hank Bauer, Clete Boyer, Hector Lopez, Tony Kubek, Bobby Richardson and Elston Howard. Twenty-five signatures in all are included with most in the 8/10 range. Pre-Certified by PSA/DNA.
