    Description

1957 Milwaukee Braves Team Signed Baseball. The World Champions! Burdette's decision to join Hall of Famers Schoendienst and Spahn on the sweet spot of this important team sphere might seem a bit presumptuous. But to true baseball historians it seems only appropriate that the man who secured three of the four W's needed to best the Yankees in the 1957 Fall Classic should hold that honored position. Prior to the deciding seventh game, Burdette was grilled by the Milwaukee press about his readiness on just two days rest. His response: "I'll be all right. In 1953, I once relieved in 16 games out of 22. I'm bigger, stronger and dumber now." The unanimous pick for the Series MVP is one of twenty-four blue ink signatures coating this Official American Association ball, joined by the aforementioned Hall of Famers Spahn and Schoendienst, as well as Aaron, Mathews, Crandall, Torre, Logan, Covington and Pafko. All autographs rate 8/10 or better, with only Mel Roach (6/10) dipping below. Ball itself is clean with light, even toning. JSA Auction LOA.
