Description

1957 Hall of Fame Induction Multi-Signed Baseball with Cobb, Foxx, Baker. Bold blue ink signatures from a dozen of the most influential ballplayers of the prewar era turns this hard molded rubber sphere to pure gold. A strong Philadelphia Athletics theme permeates the proceedings, as Ty Cobb, Jimmie Foxx, Frank "Home Run" Baker, Tris Speaker, Lefty Grove and Mickey Cochrane are among the signers, each a servant for at least a couple years to the illustrious Connie Mack. Also present are Wahoo Sam Crawford, Ray Schalk, Charles Gehringer, Joe Cronin, Paul Waner and Carl Hubbell. Not a single signature dips below a boldness of 7/10. A minor split at the ball's equator passes through several signatures with no real impairment of aesthetics, and other mild wear is likewise innocuous. One of the most star-studded artifacts within this auction. Full LOA from PSA/DNA. Full LOA from James Spence Authentication.
