1956 Pittsburgh Pirates Team Signed Baseball. Rare "Bob Clemente" signature variation speaks volumes about the racial climate in Major League Baseball less than a decade after Jackie Robinson's integration, suggesting the future Hall of Famer believed the Amerian people might not be ready for "Roberto." The superstar outfielder is joined by twenty-three teammates, including Mazeroski, Friend, Face, Virdon, Groat, Long, Bragan and Shepard. All signatures retain a boldness of at least 8/10, with the only condition flaw being a nickel-sized brown spot on one panel which affects only Groat of the names listed above. ONL (Giles) ball.
