    Description

1956 New York Yankees Team Signed Baseball Once Belonging to Mickey Mantle. "In 1987 when we were searching for Mickey Mantle memorabilia to fill Mickey Mantle's Restaurant, I came across this 1956 NY Yankee team ball. Mick loved seeing the ball and was in part the genesis for his book My Favorite Summer. Mickey kept the ball at his suite at the Regency Hotel in NYC. The restaurant had already acquired enough memorabilia and I kept the ball." This letter of provenance from Mantle's business partner attends the presented OAL (Harridge) sphere signed on the sweet spot by Mantle and Berra, and on the adjacent panels by twenty-eight more World Champs including Ford, Slaughter, Dickey, Larsen, Howard, Martin, Crosetti and more. Signature quality stands in the 6/10 to 7/10 neighborhood. A clean, solid ball with marvelous provenance relating to that season's Triple Crown winner. Full LOA from James Spence Authentication. Pre-certified by PSA/DNA. Letter of provenance regarding Mantle ownership.
