Few experts gave the National League Champs much World Series hope against the Cleveland Indians, who had posted an outrageous 111-43 record during the regular season and boasted three future Hall of Famers in their pitching rotation. And nobody could have dreamed of the four-game sweep handed to the American League juggernaut, establishing the last World Championship in Polo Grounds history. This evenly toned ONL (Giles) ball is signed by the following in 8/10 to 9/10 ballpoint: Liddle, Williams, Lockman, Amalfitano, Grissom, Wilhelm, Mueller, Castleman, Maglie, Thompson, Jansen, Gardner, Irvin, Giel, Dark, Corwin, Antonelli, Katt, Konikowski, McCall, Westrum, Hofman, Taylor and five more. Authentication has deemed the Mays as clubhouse and the Durocher as stamped. Pre-Certified by PSA/DNA. Auction LOA from SGC Authentic.
