Description

1953 New York Yankees World Series Champions Team Signed Baseball. Just one of several World Series Championships in the 1950's for the New York Yankees, the 1953 squad took home the fifth championship in a row. The team featured a potent lineup led by Mickey Mantle, Yogi Berra and Whitey Ford. Every starter in the lineup except Phil Rizzuto boasted of double digit home runs, while Ford and Ed Lopat won eighteen and sixteen games, respectively.

The OAL (Harridge) ball in this lot is a nicely aged tan ball with a scattering of small stain spots. Twenty-nine signatures are found on the ball, including Hall of Famers Mantle, Berra, Ford, Johnny Mize and Rizzuto. Others include Vic Raschi, Johnny Sain, Lopat and Ralph Houk. Signatures mostly average 7-8/10. Full LOA from James Spence Authentication. Pre-certified by PSA/DNA.
