1951 New York Yankees Team Signed Baseball. Here's a marvelous piece of baseball history, marking the sole shared year of Joe DiMaggio and his successor in centerfield at Yankee Stadium, Mickey Mantle. Joe DiMaggio penned his elegant signature on the sweet spot and a legion of eventual Hall of Famers, All-Stars and the acclaimed role players nicely fell in line in creating a masterpiece of Bronx Bombers memorabilia. Mantle signed just below the stitching next to DiMaggio, with both signatures fitting with a solid 7/10 to 8/10 range on this historic horsehide. The Official American League (Harridge) stamping has faded a tad, a fate that virtually all of the 32 signatures managed to sidestep, with the only other discouraging word being the slightest bit of staining at two or three spots, but nothing prominent to obscure any autographs. And, oh, what autographs they are: Stengel (CH), Berra, Dickey, Mize and Martin, plus Shea, Reynolds, Houk, Bauer, Lopat, McDougald, Woodling, Brown, Raschi and others.
