    Description

1951 New York Giants Team Signed Baseball. The most thrilling pennant chase in National League history came down to one swing, as Bobby Thomson blasted the most famous walk-off long ball in the sport's history to earn the Giants a Fall Classic meeting with their cross-river rivals, the New York Yankees. Presented is an ONL (Frick) ball from this immortal Polo Grounds edition, signed by twenty-five NL Champs including Thomson, Mays, Irvin, Maglie, Stanky, Dark, Lockman, Mueller and the tough Hank Thompson. Signature strength is uniformly 9/10 or better, and only Durocher appears in non-authentic (stamped) format. Ball is lightly and evenly toned. A splendid example of one of the most collectible post-war team balls in the hobby. Full LOA from James Spence Authentication. Auction LOA from PSA/DNA.

The hammer price for my Mantle card significantly exceeded my admittedly conservative estimations, and I couldn't be more pleased.
