1951 American League All-Star Team Signed Baseball, PSA/DNA EX+ 5.5. Detroit's Briggs Stadium was the battleground for this Midsummer Classic waged during the American League's Golden Anniversary season. Though the Junior Circuit could not mark the occasion with a victory, the cast of characters here should leave no collector hanging his head. The festivities begin with the finest sweet spot imaginable, a delectable pairing of Ted Williams and Joe DiMaggio. Other notables among the twenty-three signers are Doby, Doerr, Rizzuto, Lemon, Stengel, Dom DiMaggio, Henrich and Wertz. George Kell appears in secretarial format, and a handwritten "1950 All Star Game" in an unknown hand is in error. The experts at PSA/DNA assign ratings of 7/10 and 4/10 for the autographs and baseball respectively, accounting for the final grade as listed. Full Grading LOA from PSA/DNA, EX+ 5.5.
