    Description

1951-60 Chicago Cubs Team Signed Baseballs Lot of 10. A whole decade of Wrigley Field wonderment is represented here in 10 multi signed baseballs that typically range from 7/10 to 8/10 for the signatures, with exceptions noted. The balls from 1952 to 1957 show a small circular rust stain that was likely from a stand that displayed the balls; the others are largely problem free unless specifically noted. 1) 1951: ONL (Frick) baseball with 27 signatures, including Sauer, Rush, Cavarretta, Leonard, Root; 2) 1952: ONL (Giles) baseball with 27 signatures, including Sauer, Cavarretta, Hacker, Miksis, Root, Jackson; 3) 1953: ONL (Giles) baseball with 28 signatures, including Sauer, Root, Rush, Smalley, Leonard, Church; 4) 1954: ONL (Giles) baseball with 20 signatures, including Banks, Garagiola, Sauer, Rush, Bilko, Cooper; 5) 1955: ONL (Giles) baseball with 29 signatures, including Banks, Sauer, Leonard, Hack, Baker, Jackson, Cooper; 6) 1956: ONL (Giles) baseball with 20 signatures, including Banks, Irvin, Rush, Landrith, Drabowsky, Hack, Leonard, Jones; 7) 1957: ONL (Giles) baseball with 28 signatures, including Banks, Long, Moryn, Scheffing, Elston, Will, Rush, Speake; 8) 1958: ONL (Giles) baseball with 27 signatures, including Banks, Tanner, Elston, Taylor, Scheffing, Hobbie, Drott, Dark: 9) 1959: Official 97 League baseball, heavily soiled, discolored and stained, with 25 signatures 3/10 to 6/10 and several not legible, including Hughes, Cavarretta, Bush; 10) 1960: Cubs team souvenir baseball with 21 signatures, including Banks, Boudreau, Altman, Hatton, Craft, Elston. The hammer price for my Mantle card significantly exceeded my admittedly conservative estimations, and I couldn't be more pleased.
