Description

1950s Minor League League Team Signed Baseball with Luke Appling. After his Hall of Fame stretch with the Chicago White Sox was over in 1950, masterful leadoff hitter Luke Appling surprised many when he accepted a job as manager of the minor league Memphis Chicks. He went on to have a successful career as a minor league skipper and was named manager of the year in '52. The ball we see here has 22 sigs from one of Appling's teams, probably circa 1954. His sweet spot autograph is joined here by others such as Bobby Richardson, Jim Konstanty, Ken Wood, Dick Starr, and more. LOA from PSA/DNA.
