Description

1950's Tris Speaker Signed Baseball. "If you put a baseball and other toys in front of a baby, he'll pick up a baseball in preference to the others," the Hall of Fame outfielder told Baseball Magazine in 1951. Certainly any baby worth his diapers would pick up this ball in particular, autographed in 7/10 blue ink on the side panel by Ty Cobb's greatest Dead Ball batting rival. It must be noted that other signatures once resided upon this Official American Association ball, but they have been chemically removed with such artistry and skill as to leave behind not even a hint of Spoke's former neighbors. No serious baseball autograph collection should be lacking this inaugural class Hall of Famer, and this is a rock-solid specimen to fill that void. LOA from PSA/DNA. LOA from James Spence Authentication.
