    1950's Rogers Hornsby Single Signed Baseball. "Any ballplayer that don't sign autographs for little kids ain't an American," Hornsby once suggested. "He's a communist." The Hall of Fame second baseman did his part to stay in the good graces of Senator Joe McCarthy with this offering, a massive and flawlessly rendered blue ink sweet spot signature upon an "Official Sandlot League" sphere. The autograph rates an 8.5/10, with the red and blue stitching and gorgeously toned horsehide very effectively recalling the official balls of the prewar Big Leagues. Certainly one of the finest Hornsby singles to come down the pike in quite some time. LOA from PSA/DNA. LOA from James Spence Authentication.
