    Description

1950's George Sisler Single Signed Baseball. Fifty-one stolen bases and an unearthly .420 batting average made Sisler a landslide winner of the 1922 American League MVP Award, and his durability and consistency made him a Hall of Famer. Here we present a marvelous example of his rare single, applied to the sweet spot of an ONL (Giles) ball. A prior mounting job has left a hole and circular impression on the southern panel, and a few "flat spots" dot the ball's surface, including one over the signature, but the 9/10 quality of the ink is not affected. A solid example of an essential single. Auction LOA from James Spence Authentication.
