Description

1950's Fred Clarke Signed Baseball. A player/manager for four of the Pittsburgh Pirates' nine National League Championship seasons, Clarke held the reins in Steeltown for a decade and a half, earning Cooperstown bronze in the process. His single presents an enormous challenge for the autograph collector, but the skilled work of a baseball restorationist has stripped other signatures once joining Clarke's on this "Chieftain Official League" ball, making for a very convincing approximation. Clarke's blue ink signature rates 8/10. Auction LOA from James Spence Authentication. Pre-certified by PSA/DNA.
