1949 New York Yankees Team Signed Baseball. After winning their only championship under Bucky Harris in 1947, it took two years for the New York Yankees to return to the World Series, but this time under new manager Casey Stengel. "The Old Perfessor" would prove to be a lucky charm for the Yanks, as they went on to win in 1949, 1950, 1951, 1952, 1953, 1956 and 1958 under his leadership.

This OAL (Harridge) baseball pays homage to the first of Stengel's seven championship seasons, with twenty-four signatures from the 1949 Yankees. JSA notes that the sweet spot Joe DiMaggio is a clubhouse, as well as Silvera and Buxton. The stamping is extremely light on the orb, and it has a dark creamy hue. Key signatures include Larry "Yogi" Berra, Mapes, Stirnweiss, Lopat, Reynolds, Raschi, Page and Keller. Signatures average 7-8/10. Full LOA from James Spence Authentication.
