    Description

1948 World Series Umpires Signed Baseball. "The most important things are guts, honesty, common sense, a desire for fair play and an understanding of human nature," once said Hall of Fame umpire Bill Klem of the umpiring profession, and these men served that duty on the game's greatest stage. Eleven autographs appear from the men who called balls, strikes and outs in the famed Braves vs. Indians Fall Classic. Among the signers: Pinelli, Steward, Papparella, Grieve and Barr. Signatures average 7/10. These umpire balls are usually game used as well, adding further intrigue to the lot. Pre-certified by PSA/DNA. Auction LOA from James Spence Authentication.
