    Description

1948 Cleveland Indians Team Signed Baseball. In a city starved for World Championship sports glory, this last ballclub to celebrate a World Series victory remains close to the hearts of millions of Ohioans. Boasting perhaps the most stacked pitching rotation in Major League history, the 1948 Indians brought three Hall of Famers to the mound as starters. Ancient rookie Satchel Paige joins manager Lou Boudreau on the sweet spot of this OAL (Harridge) ball, with Lemon and Feller stationed nearby. Other notables include Paige's fellow Negro League standout Doby, Keltner, Hegan, Gordon, Robinson and coach Muddy Ruel. Gordon, Kuel, Black and Peck are secretarial. Signature quality averages 7/10 under a yellowing layer of shellac. A solid example of a ball no true Indians fan should be without. LOA from PSA/DNA. LOA from James Spence Authentication.
