1946 J. Honus Wagner Single Signed Baseball. Not only is he the face of the most expensive and high profile baseball card ever, but Honus Wagner is also one of the greatest player to lace up a pair of cleats for a baseball game. "You can have your Cobbs, your Lajoies, your Chases, your Bakers," said Hall of Fame manager John McGraw, "but I'll take Wagner as my pick of the greatest." Playing for the Pittsburgh Pirates for most of his career, he racked up 3,420 hits while batting .328 lifetime. He then donned a coach's uniform for the Pirates for another four decades.

Single signed Wagner baseballs surface for auction only on occasion, with far more demand that supply. This offered ball is unofficial, with the marking faded away, but offers an 8/10 quality signature on the sweet spot along with, "Pirates Coach 2-11-46." The autograph area has been heavily coated with shellac to preserve the signature. Full LOA from PSA/DNA. Auction LOA from James Spence Authentication.
