    1946- 1961 Texas League Team Signed Baseballs & Jewelry Lot Of 7. The history of the horsehide in Texas is esoteric in nature but rich nonetheless. Having the Major League teams far away in the north never stopped the Southerners from enjoying the grand game. This lot features five team signed baseballs and jewelry from players who rarely made the Majors but played for their passion of the National Pastime. Signed baseballs include 1946 Dallas Rebels team on a heavily toned TX. League ball. 22 signatures highlighted by Red Davis, Ben Hale, Al Carr, Nick Gregory, etc. The ball is heavily toned and grades in EX condition(PSA ruled inconclusive on this ball). 1951 Texas League Old Timer's Night at Buff Stadium in Houston. The TX. League ball has 26 signatures highlighted by Dick Kerr, Eddie Dyer, and Dode Criss, etc. The ball and signatures rate in EX condition. (PSA ruled inconclusive on this ball)1952 Texas League All Star team (TX. League ball), with 20 signatures including, Vernon Kennedy, Roy Face, Billy Hunter, Dutch Meyer, Eddie Knoblauch, etc. The ball is NRMT condition with the signatures ranging from 8/10 to 4/10. 1956 Dallas Eagles team with 19 signatures on an Official Texas League Baseball, highlighted by Wilcy Moore, Joe Macko, Jim Davenport, and Red Davis. Baseball and signatures rate in NRMT condition(PSA ruled inconclusive on this ball). 1961 Dallas/ Fort Worth Rangers team. A shellacked American Association ball signed by 21 members of the metroplex squad. The L.A. Angels affiliate ball is highlighted by Chuck King, Doc Cole, Jim Fergosi, Dick Littlefield, Jack Spring, Dean Chance, Walker Cooper, etc. The jewelry included in this lot consists of a watch given to participants of the 1954 Texas League All-Star game. This time piece once rested on the wrist of umpire Alaris Smith, as his name is engraved on the verso along with Umpire 7-23-54. Also included is a fan giveaway ring from Lagrave Field in Fort Worth commemorating the 2005 Cats Championship season. Pre-Certified by PSA/DNA.
