1945 Pittsburgh Pirates Team Signed Baseball with Honus Wagner. With the Major League talent pool diminished by the draft, the '45 Bucs still boasted a heaping helping of Hall of Fame luminaries, most notably the seventy-one year old Dutchman who simply signs his last name. Al Lopez, Lloyd Waner and Frank Frisch are too among the twenty-six strong blue ink signatures (8/10 average) on this ONL (Frick) ball. Also noteworthy is Babe Dahlgren, the man who took Yankee first base duties after Lou Gehrig ended his fourteen-year residence there. The ball shows some wear along the laces, but this minor concern does not affect the signatures in any way. Important high-grade autographs make this ball a true Pirates treasure. LOA from PSA/DNA. LOA from James Spence Authentication.
