    Description

1945 Chicago Cubs Team Signed Baseball. Twenty-one National League Champions jockey for position on the presented ONL (Frick) ball, averaging 8/10 with none falling more than two points off that pace. Notables include Grimm, Hack, Merullo, Hughes, Johnson and more. The ball is purported to have originated from the estate of E. Lee Ballanfant, a former NL umpire who worked the 1945 World Series, and a period notation assigns this vintage to the ball. A fine relic from the last October baseball for the luckless Cubbies. Pre-certified by PSA/DNA. Auction LOA from James Spence Authentication. From the Roger Marth Collection.
