Description

1944 Army vs. Navy Multi Signed Baseball with Program. Sure to be a popular lot amongst war-time baseball fans, presented here is a rare pairing from 1944, including a signed baseball and an original program. Signed by nineteen members of the 1944 Army vs. Navy Baseball game, this ONL (Frick) ball exhibits heavy toning but presents nicely. Some of the signatures include Schoolboy Rowe, Pee Wee Reese, Johnny Mize, Johnny Vander Meer, Virgil Trucks and Dom DiMaggio. Signatures average 8-9/10 on this great example. The program itself is a simple foldout single sheet, with a scorecard and team rosters. Some of the players not found on the baseball, but taking part in the game, were Joe DiMaggio, Bill Dickey and Phil Rizzuto. Program has several folds and a notation inked on the front. Scorecard inside is unscored. Pre-certified by PSA/DNA. Auction LOA from James Spence Authentication.
