    Description

1940's Mel Ott Signed Baseball. The most challenging single in the hobby for collectors with a 500 Home Run Club concentration is this prince of the Polo Grounds, and our consignor has done well to locate a multi-signed ball with a sweet spot Ott to magically transform into an apparent single. The thunderously bold autograph would launch the price well into the five-figure range were it a genuine single. Manufacturer's stamping is lost, but the red-stitched ball presents very nicely. Full LOA from PSA/DNA. Auction LOA from James Spence Authentication.
