    Description

1940's Jimmie Foxx Single Signed Baseball. Dubbed "Double X" and "The Beast," Jimmie Foxx was arguably the best right-handed home run hitter of the American League's prewar era. A key component on Connie Mack's Philadelphia team, Foxx helped curtail the pennant run authored by the "Murderer's Row" dynasty in powering the Athletics to three successive American League flags (1929-1931). Proudly presented here is a baseball of unknown model signed by the Hall of Famer. The ochre-shaded sphere has been signed on the sweet spot, where Foxx's black ink scripting projects about 6/10 strength. Small surface abrasions are visible throughout the ball. A respectable representation of a ball absent from many quality collections. PSA has noted faded signatures or writing on multiple side panels. Full LOA from PSA/DNA. Auction LOA from James Spence Authentication.
