    Description

1940's Cy Young Signed Baseball. "All us Youngs could throw," the sole member of Major League Baseball's 500 Win Club once explained. "I used to kill squirrels with a stone when I was a kid, and my granddad once killed a turkey buzzard on the fly with a rock." While his popularity with woodland creatures may be lacking, collectors have never loved the Hall of Fame hurler more, making this 7/10 blue ink side panel offering a particularly appealing commodity. Young is quite tough on baseballs, and he presents here as a single though several other autographs have been removed through a chemical process, with two still faintly visible afterwards. The "Official League" ball is mildly and evenly toned throughout, supplying an attractive canvas for this important signature. LOA from PSA/DNA. LOA from James Spence Authentication.
