    Description

1940's Bill McGowan "Single Signed" Baseball. Those legions of collectors chasing Hall of Fame singles almost certainly find a hole in their collections where this umpire should reside. McGowan's posthumous induction almost four decades after his passing, and the very fact that he was an umpire rather than a player, are factors that have kept the supply of his autographs particularly low. And the few signed baseballs that do exist are typically those signed by entire umpiring staffs. We believe that this ball was once of that ilk, but chemical wizardry at the hands of "Signed Baseball Magic" has turned this ONL (Frick) ball from a multi-signed sphere into an apparent single. Only you will know the difference! Even better, McGowan's signature is a large and bold 8.5/10 in quality. Ask yourself--when was the last time you saw a genuine McGowan single? We can't think of one either... LOA from PSA/DNA.
