    Description

1940's Babe Ruth & Later Hank Aaron Signed Baseball, PSA/DNA NM-MT 8. For most baseball purists, the gentlemen who share space on this OAL (Harridge) ball represent the true and enduring chain of command of baseball's most celebrated record. The sphere, of course, began life as a single signed Ruth, and a beauty at that, the black fountain pen sweet spot signature garnering a rating of 8/10 from the experts at PSA/DNA. Decades later, after Hammerin' Hank planted his 715th into the outfield seats, the ball was presented for his signature as well, likewise rating an 8/10. The ball itself is assessed at a 7/10 level, with a half point added for the considerable visual appeal of the important relic, accounting for the final NM-MT 8 rating.

The winning bidder can then make the determination whether Barry Bonds deserves to make this ball a trio, and surely he'd be honored to be asked. But, as it stands, it is the finest pairing of this celebrated duo we've ever encountered on horsehide. In that regard, it ranks among the most desirable autographed baseballs presented within this Signature auction. Full Grading LOA from PSA/DNA, NM-MT 8.

The hammer price for my Mantle card significantly exceeded my admittedly conservative estimations, and I couldn't be more pleased.
