1940 Cincinnati Reds Team Signed Baseball. This historic sphere was mounted as a trophy long ago, and rightfully so. Claiming the National League flag for the second consecutive season, the mighty Reds went on to topple the Detroit Tigers in October and claim their first World Championship since the tainted 1919 Series. Lombardi, McKechnie, Wilcy Moore, Walters, Joost, Craft, McCormick, Frey and Riggs appear among the twenty-four 7/10 and better black ink signatures present here. The ball has toned an attractive tobacco shade and presents beautifully. The bakelite base is affixed to the ball with a single screw and could easily be removed if the winning bidder cared to do so. LOA from Steve Grad & Zach Rullo/ PSA DNA.
