Description

1940 Brooklyn Dodgers Team Signed Baseball from Dixie Walker. The appearance of 1934 Gashouse Gang pitcher Tex Carleton upon this ONL (Frick) ball assures 1940 vintage, the only season the Cardinals star served time at Ebbets. Joining him are over twenty fellow Flatbush residents, including Reese, Medwick, Dressen, Lavagetto, Reiser, Phelps, Camilli and Dixie Walker. Signatures are fairly light, averaging perhaps 2.5/10, but most are still quite readily legible. Ball originates from Dixie Walker. JSA Auction LOA.
