    1938 New York Yankees & Detroit Tigers Signed Baseball. A clash of American League titans results in a baseball jam-packed with diamond legends from the Big Apple and Motor City. Lou Gehrig takes sweet spot honors in 9/10 black fountain pen ink. Joining him here and in Cooperstown: Joe McCarthy (with personalization, 8/10), Hank Greenberg (7/10), Mickey Cochrane (with personalization,6/10), Charles "Red" Ruffing (6/10), Bill Dickey (7/10) and Lefty Gomez (6/10). Among the other signers are Jake Powell, Pete Fox, Red Rolfe, Frank Crosetti, Schoolboy Rowe and more. Sixteen signatures are here in total, sealed beneath a thin coating of shellac and all within the range of the other signatures listed. Auction LOA from James Spence Authentication.
