    Description

1938 New York Giants Team Signed Baseball. Hall of Fame outfielder Mel Ott topped the National League charts this season with thirty-six long balls, his third consecutive season as Home Run King and one of six times he took top honors during his career. His black fountain pen side panel signature projects at an impressive strength of 8.5/10, joined on this "Spalding Official League" ball by twenty-two fellow Giants like Hubbell, Terry, Danning, McCarthy, Moore and Bartell. A healthy coating of shellac has ably served its purpose in maintaining an average signature strength of 9/10 while coaxing an attractive coffee tone from the horsehide. A fine Polo Grounds relic. LOA from PSA/DNA. LOA from James Spence Authentication.
