    Description

1938 Brooklyn Dodgers Team Signed Baseball with Babe Ruth. In a sad end to the Babe's career in baseball, he came to learn that his service to the Bums coaching staff was offered not as a stepping stone to eventual skipperhood, but only to draw fans anxious to see the faded legend smack homers during pre-game batting practice. Among the final team balls ever signed by Ruth is this ONL (Frick) sphere, where he takes his customary sweet spot position in 5/10 blue ink. Two of the four surrounding panels have failed to maintain signature legibility, but thankfully the larger names are on the panels that still present at an average of 6/10: Cuyler, Durocher, Lavagetto and Camilli among them. Thirteen legible signatures remain in total. Buy this one for the Babe though--in many ways it is as symbolic of his baseball life as the victorious team balls of the 1920's. LOA from PSA/DNA.
